Elderly NYC Cab Driver Beaten By Group Of 5

On July 19, a group of five suspects punched an elderly New York City taxi driver in broad daylight on a street in Midtown Manhattan, The New York Post reported.

Two men and three women were seen repeatedly hitting a 60-year-old taxi driver who showed no signs of fighting back, trying to avoid the blows. The incident reportedly occurred near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and West 34th Street. Exit.

The driver crouched down to protect his head, but the attack continued, he lost his balance and fell to the side of the cab. One of the women punched her several more times and even kicked her in the chest.

None of the bystanders tried to help the victim, who was later taken to New York University Hospital. His condition was reported to be stable.

Police said the altercation began with an altercation between the taxi driver and the perpetrators, which escalated into a violent fistfight. (Related: The road rage showdown ends with the car flipping over. The driver then pulls out a knife and chases the other driver.)

Two attackers, both from Brooklyn, were arrested at the scene. Howard Colley, 35, has been charged with punching the driver in the face. Natalie Morgan, 51, has been charged with damaging a taxi’s side mirror.

The New York Taxi Drivers Federation (NYSFTD) has demanded justice for this tragic attack.

“We must catch these young thugs and lock them up. This elderly driver did not deserve such a brutal beating.” Stabbings, shootings and robberies must stop,” said NYSFTD spokesman Fernando Mateo.
