Billionaire Elon Musk announced Saturday night at a Trump campaign event in Pennsylvania that he would give away $1 million to one person every day before Election Day.

The owner of X (formerly Twitter) and founder of SpaceX held a rally in Harrisburg where he revealed the first winner of America PAC’s $1 million petition signer giveaway.
“I have a surprise for you. I’m going to randomly give away $1 million to people who sign a petition every day from now until the election,” Musk told the rapt audience.

Musk’s political action committee (PAC) is targeting seven battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The first lucky petition signer, John Dreher, celebrated his seven-figure fortune when Musk called him on stage.
“Thank you Elon, this is great. I’m really excited!” Dreher said as he held up the $1 million check.

“When he called me, the first thing that happened was I screamed. And it was a million dollars, so I sent the check in the air and put my arm in the air. “I was really excited about it,” Dreher said of his experience meeting Musk. . “When I actually met Elon, I kind of forgot about money.”
According to its website, America PAC champions values such as “secure borders, safe cities, free speech, wise spending, a fair justice system, and self-defense.” Mr. Musk launched the America PAC with the aim of electing Mr. Trump to a second term.

America PAC also has a team working to increase voter registration and turnout in battleground states. The website says pay starts at $30 an hour, with bonuses based on performance.
President Trump announced in early September that he had agreed to serve as chairman of the Commission on Government Efficiency if Musk regained the White House.
