Employees at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are being transferred to other government agencies in anticipation of former President Donald Trump’s possible re-election, E&E News reports.
E & E News is moving to find a job for “more safer” government agencies, such as EPA staff, Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Commerce reported. Many federal employees are “very concerned” they could lose their jobs or be “particularly targeted” by the Trump administration if he returns to the Oval Office.
“People are worried, but anyone with half a brain has an existential fear for the security of our democracy,” a National Science Foundation official told E&E News.
Trump has previously said that if re-elected, he would “dismantle the deep state” and make it easier to fire federal employees. According to Go to Politico.
“We have stopped spending any money. What will we do if we don’t have work next year?” a Home Office official told E&E News. “We need to save as much as we can.”

The Biden-Harris administration has used the Environmental Protection Agency and other agencies, such as the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), to advance environmental protection policies. DOI announced restrictions on oil leasing in Alaska’s major oil reserves in April, while DOJ in February 2021 rescinded nine environmental regulations previously enacted by the Trump administration.
The Biden-Harris administration has led the push for green energy equipment, announcing about $85 million in subsidies to expand U.S. production in August. In February, DOE has finalized “high energy efficiency” regulations on clothing washing machines and dryers.
In April, the EPA awarded about $14 billion in funding to organizations tied to both Democrats and the Biden administration to help finance the operations of various green energy projects.
