The Democratic Party’s most well-known personality has been speaking out for denouncement of President Donald Trump’s policy progress, but their unpublished activities tell a different story. This has quietly eased progressive stances on general issues such as border security and government waste, and quietly eased for Democrats to rescue them from the moment of survival of an offensive election.
Among these first-string officials are California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Illinois Gov. JB Pretzker and other minor players. Progressive frontier. But following Trump’s November victory, with significant election benefits across virtually any demographic, these figures are quietly trying to bring their party’s pendulums to the middle, especially in policies surrounding immigration and wasted government spending. “I don’t lightly call on Nazi youkai,” said Pretzker. I said Last week in a state speech in Pennsylvania. “But I know history closely… I’m now looking for a hunch for hunch of what’s going on in our country. The president watching the plane is down to Potomac and suggests that diversity employment is responsible for crash falls without facts or findings.” He continues to evoke the ghosts of the Nazi by criticizing the president’s comments on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, cutting certain federal programs, and other advances in Pretzker.

Aside from the Third Reich comparison, the governor’s speech (which served as a speech on the budget proposal at the same time) included a nugget of concessions to Trump’s policy agenda. The proposed budgetdespite being the most expensive in Illinois history, will freeze employment for state employees, cut $629 million with benefits for illegal aliens, and remove the state’s “welcome centers” for $100 million.
In Pennsylvania, Gov. Shapiro is forced to walk the narrow tightrope walk, wrestling with a GOP majority in the state Senate and a Democrat majority in the House. When U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondy suspends federal funds in Philadelphia, a “sanctuary city,” after Democrats made the president’s deportation policy a stymie, the governor appeared to be on his side with the president and his party colleagues despite objecting to the suspension of funding in court.

Shapiro I said Fox News on February 6th hopes he wants “criminals out of our community here illegally.”
“I want to see it happen,” Shapiro said. “We don’t want people here to be in the midst of havoc in our community or advocating for life in our community.”
Furthermore, the governor announcement Auditing all spaces owned or leased by the state government as part of the initiative “Saving tens of millions of dollars over the coming years” – another page in the Doge book.

Directly to the West, Democrat Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers – despite his 2025 budget Advocating the replacement of “mother” with “inseminated person” and “fatherhood” and “parent-child relationship” in state law terms also quietly encouraged some conservative budgetary measures. His biennial budget message From 2025-2027, his resistance to working with the President’s Immigration Enforcement Agenda proposed cutting revenue, sales and property taxes of around $2 billion.
Meanwhile, even the California newspapers – longtime disciples of the Frontier. Aid Program for Illegal Aliens, Except for school By informing parents about their children’s increasingly creative ideas about gender; Laws for gas stovesstart a Statewide Initiatives To reflect on racial reparations – measures have been taken to curb democratic attitudes regarding immigration. The governor has promised to refuse Parliamentary Bill 15a bill to stop California’s prison system from working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) officers, Newsom’s office; Confirmed Go to Fox News.
Newsom has also announced a $920 million initiative to counteract the long-standing issue of California’s homeless encampment. Website Monday to track its progress – despite still signing invoice In February, we allocate $25 million to legal defense of illegal aliens in immigration courts.
Similarly, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said on February 14 that he was “cooperating” with Trump’s deportation agenda. Interview “Fox & Friends” will be appearing alongside the border emperor Tom Homan. The mayor has agreed to allow ice agents to the Rikers Island Prison complex to support criminal investigations, a key pivot from the city’s sanctuary policy.
“New York City has been forced to sprinkle the burden of the national humanitarian crisis, with over 230,000 immigrants coming to our cities with almost all help from the previous administration and seeking help… We are currently working to implement the ability of an ice age island to reestablish the ability to operate on Riker Island.
“Whoever you are, if you are hurting innocent people in this city or in this country, you have no right to be in our country.”

Democrat New York Governor Kathy Hochul has expanded ice operations and repeatedly supports Adams to match state policies with federal immigration enforcement efforts within the city and state policies, calling for violent offenders to be “excluded from New York” in January Press conference.
“I want to be clear. There have always been ice attacks in New York, but even in the past, this is not a new dynamic,” says Hochul. “My understanding is that they had certain names of people who committed crimes, serious criminals, and those are exactly the people we want to take away from New York.”
It is unclear who will lead the Democrats throughout the 2028 presidential election, and it is unclear whether candidates will consider such concessions as such, but these Democratic officials, who seem to represent the party’s best chance for national election success, seem to think they are.
