Prescott, Arizona (Az Family) – A retired Los Angeles County deputy was ordered to spend 10 years in prison after convicting him of jurying him last week of sex.
The judge was declared Jeffrey Joseph York68, spends 10 years of being convicted of sexually inviting minors and inviting two attempts to commit sexual acts with minors.
Last month, a Yabapai County ju judge discovered York was guilty of these charges.
He was arrested during a secret investigation in September 2023. During a joint operation with the FBI Task Force, prosecutors say York tried to meet with a 7-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl.
He reportedly described the acts he planned to engage with the children in those conversations. He was arrested at an arranged meetup spot.
“Judge McGill had no choice but to follow the recent precedent of the Arizona Court of Appeals. Yabapai County Attorney Dennis McGrand said: “If the Supreme Court overturns that precedent, given York’s shocking and sleazy conduct, we will seek a new 30-year sentence from York, the largest permitted by law.”
