EXCLUSIVE: Conservative Org Urges Congress To Root Out Biden Officials Who ‘Ruthlessly’ Waged War On Christian Schools

The American Principles Project (APP) is asking the Congressional School Board to investigate former President Joe Biden’s use of taxpayer dollars to fund the war against Christian schools.

In a letter sent Tuesday to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (help) and the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, the APP alleges that the Department of Education (ED) under the Biden administration issued attacks against 12 Christian universities and universities, targeting them at unfair rates compared to secular institutions.

“During the Biden administration, federal officials shamelessly used taxpayer dollars to attack Christians, their values, and their institutions,” the letter reads. “Nearly 70% of school enforcement measures representing less than 10% of students across the country involve faith-based schools and career schools. The Biden administration has sacrificed excessive fines, withholding federal funds to protect their beliefs, punish their beliefs, and urged them to close the door.”

The letter, first obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, states that “12 Christian universities and universities were either targeting excessive penalties or were banned from receiving federal student aid,” compared to either of the Ivy League Schools.

The app also argued that fines issued for faith-based schools are significantly higher than schools issued to non-religious schools.

For example, the fine issued to Grand Canyon University (GCU) under Biden was $37.7 million, forcing Liberty University to pay $14 million, the letter said. In total, “we’ve been fined in total than all other penalties assessed by the Ministry of Education over the past seven years.”

The massive fines for GCU, the country’s largest Christian university, were issued due to allegations that the school “was deceived by misrepresenting the costs, costs and numbers needed to curb it as a non-profit institution and obtain a doctorate.” Litigation Submitted by the Federal Trade Commission.

“I am asking you to hold an investigation hearing on discriminatory practices against the Biden administration’s Christian system,” reads the letter. “People who actively pursue this anti-Christian agenda must be accountable, and rather than simply removing these excessive retaliatory fines and simply transferring them to another department for payment, they need to be completely clear about the responses from lawmakers.

The administration also requires the integration of the Clery Act, which requires schools to publish their annual security reports, and the Post-Second Secondary Education System (IPEDS) carried out by the ED.

Biden frequently fired upon Christians for targeting their faith, despite claiming to be a devout Catholic.

The FBI reportedly “abused counterterrorism tools” to target Catholics and life support advocates and label them “potential domestic terrorists,” according to the House Subcommittee on Weaponization. The committee mentioned it in February 2023 Note The Bureau ultimately retracted from the Richmond Field Office, which described traditionalist Roman Catholics as “radical.” (Related: “The numbers are shocking”: Catholic voters played a key role in sinking Kamala Harris’ presidential bid)

The Biden administration was also accused of violating religious freedom after attempting to force transgender surgery despite procedures that contradict religious doctors and hospitals. Biden later took Flak by issuing a “transgender day of vision” declaration on Easter Sunday.

Ed did not immediately respond to DCNF’s request for comment.
