Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis will release a video on Sunday that previews the border security policy announcement due Monday morning.
The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the video ahead of its presentation in Eagle Pass, Texas. The video highlights the border crisis and mentions DeSantis’ pledge to secure the border and fight cartels. The campaign will also reportedly launch new product lines that focus on different themes in the video to spice up Monday’s policy announcement.
The ad has the text “Borders are a complete disaster,” followed by Anchor discussing the border crisis.
“Southern Border Crisis: A record 2.76 million migrants crossed the border during fiscal year 2022, breaking the previous annual record of more than one million,” said one of the anchors.
“Some people are not old enough to walk but have already traveled hundreds of miles,” said another anchor in the ad, continuing.
“There was a record immigration surge.”
“Border agents arrested more than 10,000 migrants along the U.S.-Mexico border yesterday.”
“There is a growing humanitarian crisis on the southern border.”
“Drugs flowing across borders are causing an unprecedented epidemic across the country, and the toll could add up to a steep rise in overdose deaths.”
“What is happening under the watchful eye of President Biden is that so many immigrants think it will be easier for them to enter the United States.”

In May, Mr. DeSantis signed the Illegal Immigration Act into force, requiring E-Verify for employers in Florida with 25 or more employees and suspending licenses for Florida employers who knowingly employ illegal immigrants. . The bill also focuses on increasing penalties for human smuggling, prohibiting local governments from issuing identification cards to illegal immigrants, and voiding ID cards issued to illegal immigrants in other states. DeSantis previewed his announcement Friday at the United Faith and Freedom Conference in Washington, DC.
“I will finally become president and bring an end to the open southern border issue. We will build a wall, we will stop the aggression, and we will hold drug cartels accountable for the carnage they are wreaking in this country,” he said in his speech.
His border security policy announcement will be made Monday at 9:00 am Central Time.
