Texas GOP MP Chip Roy proposes to end a massive amnesty official that has protected thousands of foreigners from deportation for more than 30 years.

If passed by Congress and signed into law, Roy’s “final law” prohibits the president or other federal agency from using federal taxpayer funds in accordance with the text of the law.
“The postponed execution departure (DED) is the production of administrative agencies that allow the president to protect foreigners from deportation based on vague “diplomacy forces,” Roy said in a statement to the DCNF. “DED does not have a legal standard.”

“It bypassed Congressional jurisdiction over immigration policy making, including deliberating on which immigration programs should be passed to the law and how much they should be used,” the Texas lawmaker continued. “It has long been for Congress to reassert its role by regulating immigration by terminating programs that allow illegal foreigners to remain in the United States through executives on work permits.”
Similar to Temporary Protection Status (TPS), DED provides temporary deportation protection and work privileges to foreigners living in the United States. According to US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Non-citizens are usually called to designate DED or TPS from countries experiencing chaos, such as armed conflicts or natural disasters.
However, while TPS is carried out at the discretion of the Department of Homeland Security and has gained statutory authority, the DED originates from the president’s “constitutional authority to carry out diplomatic relations” and has no legal basis.
Ded critics say the authorities have been repeatedly abused over the years, and are equivalent to pardons. “In his final year in office, President Biden recognized DED to Lebanese and Palestinians without the ability to ensure that individuals who may have ties to terrorist organizations,” Mehlan continued. “That’s why, Fair supports the abolition of this fraudulent program.”
In addition to the fair, the Immigration Accountability Project, the New American Renewal Center, and the National Center for Immigration for Enforcement and Heritage Action have approved defund’s law.
