That claim is false. An artificial intelligence (AI) expert denied the video’s authenticity in an email to Check Your Fact.

According to the report, drones have been sighted in the United States, including New Jersey, since November 2024. USA Today. The X-video, which has been viewed more than 20,000 times at the time of writing, claims to show a drone that allegedly crashed in New York City on December 24, 2024.
In the video, people wearing yellow and white safety gear appear to be examining the large drone that is said to have crashed. Caution tape has been placed at the scene of the collision.
