FACT CHECK: Did John Kirby Claim There Are No Civilian Casualties In Gaza?

A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, shows Kirby during a press conference insisting that no civilians were killed in Gaza. The post shows Kirby addressing reporters behind a podium in a press conference room.

“The correct number of civilian casualties is zero,” he said in the video. “However, we see no evidence to support allegations of genocidal intent or actions by the IDF.”

The caption reads: “White House National Security Council Press Secretary John Kirby: “Zero civilian casualties.'' So what are the 12,000 dead bodies of children we saw? terrorist? Is it imaginary? America is a fucking swamp. ”

The post is fabricated.inside context of Press conference Kirby State had stated that civilians should never be killed during military conflicts. Mr Kirby insisted that although civilians had been killed, there was no evidence of “genocidal intent or conduct”.
