According to a Facebook post, Harris suggested young people shouldn't have children because of climate change. In the video, she is seen onstage with another woman discussing the fears young people may have about climate change.

“I've heard young leaders talk about this term they coined, 'climate anxiety,' which is anxiety about the future and the unknown, anxiety about whether it even makes sense to think about having children, whether it makes sense to think about buying a house given what the climate is going to do,” Harris says. She's not saying young people shouldn't have children, she's referring to the “climate anxiety” she's heard young leaders talk about that makes them not want to have children.
“Nothing of that nature is said in the video,” a Harris spokesperson told Check Your Facts in an email.
