The remarks were taken out of context and were revealed in an attached video from Kamala HQ. Vance said the full statement, “I hate to accept this. “This is another example of the fake news media brazenly lying about a Republican politician,” Vance spokesman William Martin said in a statement to Fox News. “Senator Vance said the exact opposite of what the Associated Press claims.”
Kamala HQ released a statement about the “facts of life” comments, which read in part, “Donald Trump and J.D. Vance believe school shootings are a 'fact of life' and 'we must get over it.'”
