According to multiple media reports, Hezbollah pagers do exist and are distributed to those who work for or are associated with the group.

“Why do so many 'healthcare workers' have Hezbollah pagers?” one user wrote. “Because Hezbollah pagers aren't real. Because that's what happens when the supply chain gets contaminated. Just because it takes a pretty stupid person to believe propaganda doesn't mean you have to be that stupid.”

This claim is misleading. Hezbollah members used pagers. Associated PressHowever, the media noted that medical workers, teachers and civil servants worked for Hezbollah-linked organisations.

“The people who use pagers are people who don't just have one job,” a Lebanese person close to Hezbollah told The Washington Post. When asked why people have Hezbollah-distributed pagers, one man named Ali told the Post, “Everybody is part of the resistance.”

The pagers were reportedly manufactured by an Israeli front company registered in Hungary. The New York TimesIsrael did not interfere with or tamper with the pager shipments.
