Social media users are sharing videos claiming that FEMA plans to execute 70,000 to 80,000 people. One user wrote, “If FEMA accidentally says the quiet part out loud 😳, yeah… execute 70,000 to 80,000 people.”
This claim is false. Check Your Facts discovered that the quote came from Austin, who was testifying before Congress about the Kabul airport withdrawal and the 2016 US withdrawal from Afghanistan. September 2021. He meant evacuation, not execution, and that had nothing to do with FEMA’s response.
