Image caption is incorrect. According to a post from the South Florida Conservation Society, the photo was actually taken in 2017 during Hurricane Irma.

Fact check:

Hurricane Helen, a Category 4 hurricane, has killed more than 100 people in the Southeast and left millions without power. CNN. North Carolina's death toll stands at 47, 35 of them in Buncombe County, where flood waters are still receding and more damage is evident, the paper reported.

In an image purported to have been taken after Hurricane Helen, four dogs appear to be leading a sizable herd of cattle through a flooded forest. “The post says these are farm dogs guiding cows to safety from Hurricane Helen! However, this post had an incorrect caption. If you do a reverse search for the image, you'll see that it was posted. facebook by the South Florida Wildlife Society in June. “Photo by Jody Farley of Farley Cattle Company in Clay County, Florida. Photo of a ranch dog guiding cattle to safety after Hurricane Irma in 2017,” the caption reads in part.

An image was also posted on × Additionally, it was featured at the University of Florida. web page Posted in October 2017 titled “USDA Workshop: Recovering from Hurricane Irma.”
