FACT CHECK: No, Zelenskyy Didn’t Buy Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest Home

Social media users claim that Zelensky bought Hitler’s residence, known as the Eagle’s Nest. One user wrote that it was acquired by a company owned by Zelenskyy.

“Kelsteinhaus, also known as the Eagle’s Nest, was acquired by the offshore company Saint Tomasau, owned by the Ukrainian president. The deal was completed at the end of December, with the building being purchased for 14.2 million euros, according to German media. The Kelsteinhaus in the Bavarian mountains was a gift for Adolf Hitler on his 50th birthday. During World War II, the building was hardly damaged and later converted to a museum and restaurant. It remains unknown how Zelensky uses Hitler’s ex-Dacha,” reads some of the post.

Bavarian State of Freedom release A statement said the “substantiated sale” claims of Eagle’s nest are “intentional misinformation.”

“Kehlsteinhaus is still owned by the Free State of Bavaria. It is not sold and is not planned. The purchase agreement shown in the video is fake and quoted from IMBY management. There are doubts. Kehlsteinhaus will resume normal seasonal operations in May 2025. IMBY will take legal action against the author of this misinformation,” the statement reads.
