post shared on twitter It claims that the images showing the Ukrainian army’s armor losses were generated by artificial intelligence.
This image is a scam created by AI.
Russia supporters, please be the first to believe this scam. I have no objections. Ukrainian supporters say Ukraine has captured at least five villages in a single day. The Russian army has lost a huge amount in the last two days… pic.twitter.com/gZPsjCjTds— Alexandre X (@AleksandrX13) June 12, 2023
Verdict: False
These images have been verified as legitimate by the Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) account. There is no evidence that these images were created by artificial intelligence.
Fact check:
Ukraine reportedly lost several armored vehicles, including Bradley and Leopard 2 tanks, while attacking Russian defense forces south of Mara Tokmachka. forbes.US sending $325 million military aid package to Ukraine to replace vehicle loss, Voice of America report.
Social media users claim the images of Ukrainian military armor being destroyed and damaged were created by artificial intelligence. One user claimed the image was an “AI-created scam”. (Related: Did leaked Pentagon documents show Ukraine had 71,000 dead?)
However, these claims are false. Images showing Ukrainian losses are legitimate, according to OSINT accounts and reporters. Oryx, a military analysis website that tracks equipment losses in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, used these images to: show that ukraine lost more gearlike that Leopard 2R mine clearing tank and bradleys.

Oryx uses visual evidence to confirm losses. CNN Quoted Oryx points out that Ukraine lost 16 Bradleys. BBC Verify’s Shayan Sardarizadeh said the images showing destroyed Ukrainian equipment were “genuine”.
I’ve seen viral tweets claiming that these images showing Ukrainian-owned Leopard and Bradley tanks damaged by Russian forces have been tampered with or generated by AI.
The image is real. There is also a verified video of the incident in Zaporizhia Oblast. https://t.co/HnyhN15zz7

“I have seen viral tweets claiming that Ukrainian-owned Leopard and Bradley tanks damaged by the Russian military have been engineered or generated by AI. Images are real. Zaporizhia We also have verified videos of incidents that happened in the state,” said Sardarizadeh. tweeted.
Naalsio of the OSINT account, which tracks Russian losses in Oryx and Warspotting, explained: twitter Why were the images showing Ukrainian losses real?
This is ridiculous.
1. Drone digital zoom edge enhancement can look like cloning/AI falsification.
2. “Big MRAP” is a MaxxPro equipped with a mine roller, so it has a strong presence.
3. Distant losses were previously seen from other angles.https://t.co/xBElorrQRq— Naalsio (@ naalsio26) June 12, 2023
“This is stupid. 1. Drone digital zoom edge enhancement can look like cloning/AI falsification. 2. ‘Big MRAP’ exists because it’s a MaxxPro with a mineroller.” I have a feeling 3. Losses in the distance used to be viewed from a different angle,” Naarcio tweeted.
Other OSINT analysts: Oliver Alexander and Emil Kastehelmi, please note that the image is not forged. Kastehelmi pointed out about the image: Occur from the video.
I also have the original video with screenshots taken. In other words, an image that is “confirmed as AI-generated” is actually a video. I don’t understand why both of these videos are made in After Effects. 3/5 pic.twitter.com/kzAGfHYig0
