According to sources who spoke to NBC News, the Biden family is scheduled to meet with President Joe Biden at Camp David on Sunday to discuss the future of the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.
Democrats have been in turmoil since the president's performance in Thursday's debate sparked talk of intervention to remove Biden from the ballot ahead of November. While the Biden campaign maintains that the Democratic incumbent will seek reelection, Biden is reportedly planning to meet with first lady Jill Biden, his children and grandchildren to discuss the issue. “The only person who has ultimate influence over him is the first lady,” a source familiar with Biden told the outlet. “If she decides a change in policy is needed, a change in policy will be made.”
According to NBC News, the Biden family meeting was scheduled ahead of Thursday's CNN debate, with the source stressing that “any decisions regarding the campaign are expected to be informal or made after the fact.”

The Biden campaign held a conference call with members of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Saturday, with one Biden campaign official assuring that “we are moving forward with this,” NBC News reported.
