Farm Fire burns in Kirkland area of Yavapai County

farm fire raging Yavapai County Residents near Kirkland are being warned to be on alert on Thursday, August 9th.

The fire is burning in the Kirkland area, an unincorporated community in the county.

It has burned 111 acres with 50% containment. Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management says:

The department added that the fire started one mile north of Yaba and eight miles north of Hillside.

This fire was previously known as the Iron Horse Fire.

Evacuation information

Residents of Iron Horse Road People who had previously had to be evacuated were able to return to their homes, the sheriff's office announced around 6 p.m.

However, if the fire danger increases, all residents of the fire area must be prepared to respond.
