Temperatures will remain elevated throughout the week as rain is likely to affect the Yuma area over the next few days
YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The subtropical storm will remain unseasonably strong until mid-week, with near-record high temperatures likely.
An excessive heat warning is still in effect for much of Maricopa County, including Phoenix Metro, and was expanded to include the entire forecast area on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sporadic showers and thunderstorms are likely from isolated locations for the remainder of the week, primarily across the highlands of south-central Arizona.
