Flagstaff Trash and Recycle Rates Increase

In 2018, the Flagstaff City Council approved a 7.5% annual increase in residential trash and recycling collection rates from 2019 to 2023.

City of Flagstaff, Flagstaff City Council, Flagstaff Garbage, Garbage and Recycling, Collection Rates,Effective January 3, 2023, the total base fee for single-family residential curbside collection and recycling has increased from $23.68 to $25.45 per month. Voluntary glass recycling collection rates also increased from $4.74 to $5.09 per month for participating facilities.

3rd party solid waste rate studies completed in 2018 City of Flagstaff We have communicated a rate increase that explains the increased labor and operating costs. The 2018 rate survey update is planned to ensure the continued financial solvency and capital raising requirements of the City’s solid waste operations.
