The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Coconino County effective June 27 at 12:52 PM. The warning will end June 27 at 4 PM.
The weather service also issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Coconino County, including Page and Lake Powell in north-central Arizona, effective June 27 at 1:09 p.m. The watch will end at 2:00 p.m. on June 27. The thunderstorm is located 9 miles west of Page and moving east at 20 mph. Wind gusts of up to 60 mph and dime-sized hail are expected.
Affected locations include Glen Canyon Dam, Lower Antelope Canyon, Labyrinth Canyon, Page, Antelope Island, Waweep, Antelope Point Marina, Stateline Wash Slot Canyon, Paria Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and LeChee, including on State Highway 98 between mile markers 548 and 549 and on U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 546 and 556.
Emergency warnings were issued for north-central Arizona south of Tuba City and Coconino County east of Highway 89. Doppler radar showed thunderstorms bringing heavy rain from near and south of Tuba City across the area. 0.75 to 1.75 inches of rain have fallen. An additional 0.5 to 1 inch of rain is expected. Flash flooding is possible.

Flood Weather Tips
Coconino County Officials Residents were offered the following tips to prepare for the approaching storm and flood threat:
- To protect your property from flooding, purchase flood insurance.
- Have an evacuation and shelter-in-place plan for where you are.
- Please evacuate if advised to do so.
- Please evacuate to higher ground or stay on higher ground in case of flooding.
- Do not walk or drive through floodwaters. The depth and speed of water is not always apparent. Ground and roads may be washed away suddenly and hidden dangers may exist. Do not try to evacuate through floodwaters.
- Know how to avoid injury from debris, contaminated water, carbon monoxide poisoning, electrocution, and damaged buildings and infrastructure.
- Before entering a flooded building, have a professional check and inspect the building and facilities.
