PHOENIX — Graham County confirmed 109 flu cases last week, while Greenlee County confirmed 40 new cases.
That’s according to data released Thursday by the Arizona Department of Health.
Graham’s 109 cases in the week of Dec. 11 were up 38% from the previous week, and the number of cases has increased over the past three reporting periods, with 16 cases in the week of Nov. 20. It has risen to 48 for the week of November 20. From 27th to 79th in the week of December 4th.
The December 109, 2011 case brings Graham County’s 2022-23 flu season total to 263 cases so far. Of these, 219 were influenza A cases, 2 were influenza B, and 42 have not yet been identified.
Greenlee County’s 40 cases for the week of Dec. 11 were down 9% from the previous week’s total of 44.
To date, Greenlee County has confirmed 165 cases of influenza this season, including 161 influenza A, 2 influenza B, and 2 yet to be identified.
