Former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii endorsed former President Donald Trump during a speech to the Michigan National Guard Association in Detroit on Monday.

Kennedy Jr., in an interview on “Fox News Sunday” on Sunday, two days after endorsing Trump and announcing he was suspending his campaign, said he expected other Democrats to support Trump as well. “He always has us in mind when he makes decisions, and we saw this throughout his first term as president as he not only did not start a new war, but acted to deescalate and prevent wars,” Gabbard said. “He has demonstrated the courage we expect from a commander in chief: to view war as a last resort, to have the courage to meet with enemies, dictators, allies and partners alike in pursuit of peace, and to exhaust all diplomatic tools.”
“The truth is, when we make decisions as a nation in November, the same cannot be said about Kamala Harris,” Gabbard continued. “In fact, the opposite is true – we live in a reality where this Administration is facing multiple wars on multiple fronts in regions around the world and we are closer to the brink of nuclear war than we've ever been before. That is one of the primary reasons why I am determined to do everything in my power to send President Trump back to the White House to serve us again as Commander in Chief, because I believe his first job will be to bring us back from the brink of war.”
Gabbard, who served in Iraq as a member of the Hawaii National Guard, is currently serving in the Army Reserve Civil Affairs Corps.
