Fox Guest Says Biden Impeachment Has ‘Fallen Flat’ With Voters

Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren claimed on Sunday that President Joe Biden's view of the impeachment inquiry has “betrayed” voter support.

Lahren told Fox News host Howard Kurtz on “Media Buzz” that Republicans in Congress should prioritize winning the election over impeaching Biden.

“I have to say this as someone who believes there is a lot of evidence here, but I think this is a cosmetic failure for the Republican Party,” Lahren said. “And they did a good job — obviously Jim Jordan, Comer is done.” [sic] This is a great initiative. ”

“But visually it looks like they're beating up someone who has an addiction problem. That's exactly what the media wanted and it was framed that way, but unfortunately However, it has become a reality,” Lahren continued.

“I know Republicans want to get to the bottom of this, but let’s focus on the election. Let’s focus on Joe Biden’s failed policies. It ended up failing to gain the support of the public and voters.”

Hunter Biden testified Wednesday in a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee as part of his father's impeachment inquiry into President Biden. The younger Biden initially ignored his subpoena in January, prompting House Republican leaders to begin contempt of Congress proceedings. The House of Representatives has voted to authorize an impeachment inquiry into Biden led by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer in December 2023. Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy first announced that Congressional Republicans would proceed with an impeachment inquiry in September 2023, led by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who said he believed the impeachment inquiry was sufficient. Evidence from the House Judiciary Committee and the House Oversight Committee will proceed.
