“Fox News Sunday” host Shannon Bream claimed Sunday that she couldn't find any Democrats to appear on her show to defend President Joe Biden.
Democrats and mainstream media commentators have distanced themselves from Biden amid growing calls for the president to abandon his reelection bid following his poor performance in the first 2024 presidential debate on June 27. Bream argued to viewers that he and his Fox team had failed to host a single Democratic guest on nationally televised TV who supported Biden.
“Before we get into our guests, I want our viewers to know,” Bream said. “Our team has reached out to dozens of lawmakers, Biden supporters and allies over the course of days. We have engaged with the Biden-Harris campaign multiple times. But not a single guest has been able or willing to appear on the Today show to defend the president and his decision to remain a presidential candidate. So we will be having this conversation without those voices, and we have been working around the clock to avoid that.”
