Neosho’s Franklin (Frank) W. Ewart, 90, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 after a brief illness at Angel’s Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
The funeral will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, March 10, 2023 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lebanon, and will be officiated by Reverend Douglas Bergerin. Worship services are held at the church from 4:00 p.m. to prayer time. Souvenirs will be thanked to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (Organ Fund or Cemetery Fund). Franklin William Ewert was born on July 9, 1932 in Hartford to Louis and Lenora (Wendorph) Ewert. Frank he married Mary He Anne Heinecke on May 13, 1953, just before he was 70 years old. They met at a dance, and Mary Ann said to Frank, “If you teach me how to drive, I will teach you how to dance.” They have been together ever since. Their love and devotion to one another, along with their strong Christian faith, never wavered. Frank was a lifetime member of his Lutheran Church in St. Peters of Lebanon. He has held many offices in the church, including president, elder, trustee, and various other committees. He and Mary Ann also renovated the churchyard in 1969 and started the Cemetery Commission.
Frank has been a farmer all his life, starting with dairy cows. His love of growing crops and custom farming began in his early 20s and lasted until November 2022. He was able to do most of his mechanical work on agricultural machinery and through his own efforts taught those around him how to succeed in his life. work ethic. He enjoyed dancing, playing golf, shuffleboard, playing sheephead with his friends, and woodworking. He particularly enjoyed spending the winters of his 25-plus years at his Arizona home, where he attended the Lutheran Church at Apache Junction in Mountain View. He never said an unkind word to anyone and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann. Children: Dave (Lynn) Ewert and Sharon (Mike) Heck. Grandchildren: Christa (Jeremy) Reynolds, Kyle (Amanda) Ewart, Candace (Tony) Vogelsang, Sam (Michelle) Heck, Matthew Heck. Great-grandchildren: Elena and Joaquin Reynolds, Ryder and Levi Ewart, Emery and Reagan Vogelsang. Violet and Scarlet Heck. his sister, Lou Ann Eifert; his brother-in-law, Wally Kohler; his sister-in-law, Neruda Heinecke; Niece, nephew, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded by his son Stephen. his parents; his stepfather and mother, Emile and Else Heinecke; and many stepbrothers and sisters.
