18-year-old male passenger found dead in three-vehicle crash near North McCarty Road

Pima County, Arizona (January 26, 2024) – A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on North La Cholla Boulevard Wednesday. Gael Carrasco.

Police were called to the scene near North McCarty Road on Jan. 10 around 7:30 p.m.

Officers said one of the vehicles involved may have been driving without headlights on. A second vehicle then swerved into the path of the first vehicle, causing the two vehicles to collide.

Additionally, a third vehicle became stuck on debris and was unable to travel. Upon arrival, responding officers found 18-year-old Carrasco showing no signs of life and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Additionally, paramedics transported the two occupants of the second vehicle to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Further details will be provided as they become available.
