Garfield County, Colorado Monthly Unemployment Update

Garfield County’s unemployment rate is 2.2% in April 2023, down 0.4 percentage points from the previous month. Colorado’s unemployment rate was 2.8% in May, the 17th lowest in the nation. The national unemployment rate rose to 3.7% last month, still 0.1 percentage points higher than last year.

The Glenwood Springs, Colorado metropolitan area had an unemployment rate of 2.3%, 0.1 percentage point higher than Garfield County. Glenwood Springs has the 163rd lowest unemployment rate among the 887 metropolitan and microregions surveyed in the nation.
