Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday called on the state to prepare for legal challenges to the incoming Trump administration.
Just two days after President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, Newsom declaration A special meeting of the California Legislature to discuss increasing funding for the state Department of Justice and other executive agencies “to ensure that affirmative litigation challenging actions taken by the incoming Trump administration can be brought immediately.” He called for a parliament to be convened.
