Gila County Delays Short-Term Rental Regulations
The supervisors in Gila County have decided to postpone the enforcement of regulations concerning short-term rentals (STRs) until they can address the concerns raised by property owners.
Back in December 2023, the supervisors approved an ordinance that mandated STR owners to pay a $250 annual fee to secure a permit. This permit comes with a variety of regulations, such as limitations on noise, parking restrictions, occupancy limits, and requirements for background checks and laundry procedures, among others. However, many STR owners believe that these regulations infringe on both state law and the Arizona constitution.
