Republican voters must choose between Shawn Golliher and Tammy Ontiveros in this month's primary election to see who will be competing against Democrat Adam Hess for the Coconino County Board of Supervisors' District 3 seat in November. Golliher describes himself as a man who loves Northern Arizona and is not a politician. He promises that he will not let Coconino County be “ruined by corruption and inefficient politics.” He promises to give all citizens “full transparency into all government procedures, processes and programs.” Ontiveros is currently the chair of the Coconino County Planning and Zoning Commission and has served on that board for 13 years. She has been a successful business owner in the Williams/Red Lake area for 28 years. Ballots must be returned to the Coconino County Elections Office by 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 30th. The deadline to mail your ballot to the Elections Office is this Friday. Early voting can be done in person at several locations throughout the county.
