Gregg Jarrett discusses how Brennan and Comey attempted to trap Trump and subsequently hindered his presidency.

Legal Analyst Discusses Investigations into Former Intelligence Officials

On Friday, Fox Business showcased Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett, who elaborated on how former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey may have manipulated investigations targeting President Donald Trump.

Currently, both Comey and Brennan are under criminal investigation for potential misconduct tied to the Steele Dossier, which was linked to the FBI’s inquiry into alleged Russian interference during Trump’s 2016 campaign. Appearing on “Kudlow,” Jarrett explained how Comey leveraged information to secure a FISA warrant.

“They tried to establish connections with the notorious Trump Tower meeting just days before he took office, but that didn’t pan out. Instead, Trump’s investigation appears to be based on a shaky foundation,” Jarrett pointed out. He mentioned Comey’s actions regarding certain FBI documents, indicating that Comey had been too close to a specific narrative.

Jarrett asserted that the inquiry into Trump relied on deceptive sources, stating that Brennan, Comey, and former Intelligence Director James Clapper knowingly used false documents. “They built everything on a bogus document known as The Dossier,” he added.

He further discussed how Comey misinterpreted FISA court protocols to obtain a SPY warrant, omitting critical details while representing Steele’s documents as credible evidence. “He misled the FISA court, claiming the documents were trustworthy despite the FBI already disputing their reliability,” Jarrett said. “They suggested that Christopher Steele, the creator of the documents, could be relied upon, but later admitted they had dismissed him for lying.”

Jarrett commended current CIA Director John Ratcliffe for uncovering key evidence which he said indicates possible fraudulent acts. “I have great respect for Ratcliffe. He investigates details, including a note authored by Brennan himself. Ratcliffe’s work is noteworthy,” he remarked.

Ratcliffe allegedly presented evidence of Brennan’s misconduct to FBI Director Kash Patel. This update follows Ratcliffe’s declassification of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) “Lessons Learned” review.

This assessment suggested that Brennan pushed for the Steele Dossier’s inclusion in the ICA, a stance later challenged by new findings in the CIA’s June review. It has been reported that documents from Christopher Steele, created for Fusion GPS, were indirectly funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign through Perkins Coie.
