‘He Doesn’t Care for This Country’: Bill O’Reilly Criticizes Chuck Schumer for Claiming Trump’s EU Trade Deal Is ‘Fake’

Bill O’Reilly Criticizes Chuck Schumer’s Trade Deal Remarks

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly took aim at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Tuesday for his recent comments about a trade deal with the European Union, which O’Reilly described as “fake.”

On Monday, Schumer spoke on the Senate floor, where he criticized the trade agreement and pushed back against President Trump’s assertion that it was “the biggest deal ever.” O’Reilly shared a clip of Schumer’s speech, where the senator claimed, “There’s only one hiccup. That’s a fake.”

In response, O’Reilly accused Schumer of lying, stating, “I use that word very rarely. I usually say he’s misleading or he’s a propagandist,” but insisted this time it was different. He expressed disappointment, mentioning a prior “decent relationship” he had with Schumer when they would occasionally connect in New York.

O’Reilly stated, “I don’t respect Charles Schumer. None. He does not love this country. He is not looking out for you, me, or anyone else,” calling Schumer a “ranked propagandist.” He emphasized that he typically views situations from multiple angles but felt strongly about this issue.

Schumer’s office has not commented on O’Reilly’s remarks. Furthermore, Senate Minority Leader Schumer referred to a report suggesting that the European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen’s commitment to buy $250 billion worth of American energy over three years was unrealistic.

Besides the energy aspects, the EU faces a 15% tariff on most goods entering the U.S. The White House fact sheet indicates that the EU plans to invest $600 billion in the U.S. economy by 2028 and will also purchase a significant amount of U.S. military equipment. Additionally, customs duties on steel, aluminum, and copper from the EU will be set at 50% according to the same fact sheet.
