Yavapai County News – Mr. Henry Edward Whitmer of Prescott Valley has been elected by Yavapai County residents to serve as a judicial officer in the Yavapai County Superior Court, Division 5.
Judge Whitmer received her Bachelor of Philosophy degree, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University’s Barrett Honors College in May 2008. He then attended Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2011. Judge Whitmer has participated in various legal internships and has been practicing law since 2011. He went to the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office in January 2014 and prosecuted a variety of felonies ranging from drug charges to murder. He left the County Attorney’s Office in 2022 to join private practice, first joining Signature Law Group and then founding Whitmer Law PLLC.

Judge Whitmer’s term begins when Yavapai County elections are certified on November 20, 2024. The judge will replace incumbent Judge Danalyn Savage, who was appointed by Governor Katie Hobbs to fill the vacancy in Division 5 created by the resignation of Cele Hancock. January 2024.
