Stephen A. Smith claims he is no longer denial of it when it comes to the idea of being in the White House as a leader in the free world. He may actually run for president in 2028. And while you might hear it, he’s serious.
Gambling website Kalshi is currently giving Smith A 5% chance Being a Democratic candidate isn’t bad for sports journalists who are now beginning to get caught up in politics. So hell, the guy is fresh from beef with LeBron James, still 5%.
And think of it like this… His competition is weak in Democrats. People like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, Pete Battigigue, Wes Moore and Josh Shapiro compare them to Smith and when they don’t trust their facilities for now, they’re straight up the territory. And that’s why we see that as Smith gets more and more serious about politics, 5% is steadily increasing.
That being said, Smith is definitely doing terrible things when he talks about general election polls. So, yeah, it could get better as we go, but now he’ll get his** whoop against Republicans.
In a fictional election matchup in 2028, Overton’s data shows Smith was taken a whopping nine points by Vice President J.D. Vance. To compare the numbers, Vance is tied with Harris 39-39 in the virtual contest.
