Alabama Legislators Express Support for Biden
The Alabama Legislature delegation has expressed their support for former President Joe Biden following the announcement of his prostate cancer diagnosis.
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis,” said former President Trump in The Truth Society. “We will be sending our warmest wishes to Jill and their family. We hope Joe experiences a swift and successful recovery.”
Biden’s private office revealed the diagnosis on Sunday, stating, “Last week, President Biden discovered prostate nodules after an increase in urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, marked by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) and metastasis to the bone. This indicates a more aggressive form of cancer, but it is hormone-sensitive, allowing for viable management options.”
“Cancer affects us all,” Biden shared on social media.
Members of the Alabama Legislature noted their prayers for the former president during this time. One member said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with President Biden and his family regarding his cancer diagnosis. He has always been a fighter, and I trust his resilience will guide him through this health obstacle.”
Senator Katie Britt from Montgomery commented, “We pray for President Biden and wish him a swift path to remission and recovery.”
Representative Robert Adderholt also voiced his sentiments, hoping for a speedy recovery for Biden, echoing the shared prayers from others.
