Stephen Miller Responds to Trump Death Rumors
On Wednesday, White House Deputy Chief of Policy Stephen Miller criticized media personalities and politicians during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity.” This came after unverified online rumors about President Donald Trump’s death began circulating.
The rumors first appeared on Friday and gained traction over the Labor Day weekend, trending with hashtags like #TrumpisDead and #WhereIstrump. Sean Hannity asked Miller about the discussions surrounding these rumors, mentioning public figures like former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, comedian Stephen Colbert, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
Miller expressed frustration, stating, “Where do you start with these idiots?” He defended Trump by highlighting his efforts and availability, saying, “President Trump has done press conferences, more interviews, and has shown more transparency than anyone.” He emphasized how Trump is always actively engaged in various issues, from trade to public safety.
The death rumors intensified after Trump had not been seen publicly for some time. On the same day the rumors spread, the Daily Caller had conducted an exclusive hour-long interview with him. Subsequently, during a Labor Day picnic, Walz made a comment hinting at Trump’s eventual death.
Colbert also addressed the rumors during his show, expressing shock at their spread. He confirmed, “Trump is very alive,” but his audience reacted negatively, indicating they preferred the former president to live.
Miller did not hold back when criticizing Colbert, labeling him a “slimeball” and suggesting that his show had been canceled for good reason. “He’s just a mean, disgusting, smarmy guy,” Miller stated, further adding, “Colbert is a scary person.”
As for Trump’s security, it’s worth noting he has faced two assassination attempts during the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election, highlighting the ongoing challenges he encounters in the political arena.
