I-10 closed in Cochise County after semitruck crashes into bridge

Early Wednesday morning, a semi truck crashed into a bridge on Interstate 10 in Cochise County, causing the vehicle to catch fire and close the highway. The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office described the incident as a “serious vehicle accident” on Milepost 331 heading west near Wilcox, and in a 12:34 a.m. Facebook post, Interstate 10 It added that both lanes of the line were closed.

It is unclear if anyone was injured in the incident or if other vehicles were involved. The sheriff’s office and the Arizona Department of Public Safety did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
