“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin seemed irritated with fellow co-host Joy Behar on Tuesday for admitting she likes former Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie.

Co-hosts criticized Christie for claiming during his interview with George Stephanopoulos that President Joe Biden is the only Democrat who could lose to former President Donald Trump. Behar praised Christie for being a staunch opponent of Trump, even as Hostin criticized him for previously serving as Trump's transition adviser.

“To his credit, Chris Christie has cleaned up a lot of dirt on the Republican Party. You know, I like Chris Christie, but-” Behar began.

“I don't know about that, Joy,” Hostin interrupted.

“But why do you go on TV and say you're someone else without even mentioning your name? Who is who? FDR [Franklin Delano Roosevelt]?He's dead, okay? You know, all the good stuff is gone,” Behar said.

Co-host Alyssa Farrar Griffin said another Democrat should run against Trump in the 2024 presidential election, citing Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer as an example. (Related: Joy Behar suggests President Trump will 'annihilate the world')

Behar recently praised Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley during a panel discussion on January 25, saying she “needs” Trump in the primary. Hostin seemed shocked by his fellow co-host's rare praise for a Republican.

Mr. Behar sparred with Mr. Christie after he told the committee in early January that he would not vote for Mr. Biden in the general election. She accused the former New Jersey governor of being a “cop” for refusing to vote for Biden. In August, Behar and Hostin sparred with fellow co-host Alyssa Farrar Griffin, who said she would not vote for president.
