An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower testified that the Department of Justice (DOJ) blocked investigators from gathering evidence related to alleged involvement in the business dealings of President Joe Biden’s son.
Whistleblowers Joseph Zeigler and Gary Shapley testified before the House Ways and Means Committee that the Justice Department, under the authority of Attorney General Merrick Garland, had suppressed key aspects of investigators’ investigations into Hunter Biden. A WhatsApp message, supposedly sent by Hunter on July 30, 2017, contained a threatening message to Chinese business people, saying that Joe Biden was sitting next to Hunter.
Zeigler, who testified about the message, told Republican Arizona Rep. Paul Gossard on Wednesday that investigators were unable to locate the message even after contacting prosecutors in charge. He said prosecutors were alleged to have stepped up their guard and immediately questioned the legitimacy of the message without conducting a full-scale investigation.
“I remember them saying to me, ‘How can I know he’s there?’ So as part of my normal investigation, that’s what I do, and all I can say is, I know I didn’t do it, but I don’t know if the FBI ended up doing it, but it was kind of like, ‘Wait, otherwise I’ll have to think about it. ”
Shapley added that prosecutors withheld information about Hunter Biden’s laptop from investigators. unprecedented training. According to testimony, investigators were only allowed to see a portion of the computer and were barred from viewing many critical areas.
