Fox News host Laura Ingraham spoke Thursday with legal analyst Sol Weisenberg about Hunter Biden’s failed plea deal.

“Every Department of Justice prosecutor, every U.S. assistant attorney, should be embarrassed by this deal,” Weisenberg said. “This is an incredibly sneaky deal.”

Weisenberg said there was “no reason” to hide key parts of the agreement, such as “Section 15 of the Pretrial Diversion Agreement.” Weisenberg said such an agreement would be called a “price negotiation” and would be included in a plea bargain. “That’s why the judge said, ‘You’re taking it away from me and trying to put it in another pre-trial diversion agreement on guns.'” was There is no basis for this. Shocking. It’s embarrassing. It’s a shame,” he added.

Weisenberg agreed with Ingraham that the plea bargain was likely a “joint deliverable” between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Hunter Biden’s lawyers.

“Honesty brokers don’t act like that. In cases like this, they don’t hide important terms like plea bargains.”

He urged Ingraham to “keep in mind” allegations from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblowers.

“As of September 2022, there was a 90-page Justice Department Tax Division memo authorizing prosecution. The team thought it would be prosecuted. It was killed. U.S. Attorneys in California were also involved, and these dismissal decisions were effectively endorsed by the leadership of the Justice Department.”

Weisenberg then questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland’s actions.

“I don’t know what he’s actually doing,” Weisenberg said. “However, it is certain that he has completely withdrawn from this investigation.”

Hunter Biden’s plea deal collapsed at the hands of Delaware U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika. The judge noted that the defense and the prosecution had different views on the content of the plea bargain, especially the scope of immunity.
