U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondy told Fox News Monday evening that thousands of withholded files of deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein were in the hands of the FBI.
The Justice Department released the first phase of the “Epstein Files,” a more than 100-page document, on Thursday, but it didn’t contain much of the new information and sparked controversy online. In “Honey,” Fox’s Sean Hannity tackled the controversy and asked Bondi for her response. She said she was notified within 24 hours of release that “there are more documents they were supposed to hand over.” (Related: “Big Fat Nothing”: Epstein’s Victim” Atty says his client is “very upset” with FBI, DOJ’s “back” treatment)
“You’re looking at these documents. ‘All of these are not Epstein files.’ There’s a flight log, there’s a name, the name of the victim, and we’re saying, ‘Where are the rest?’ That’s what the FBI handed over to us,” Bondi said. “So the source said, ‘Oh, all this evidence is sitting in the southern part of New York.” Based on that, I gave them a deadline of 8am on Friday, a ton of evidence arrived. ”
“It’s now owned by the FBI. Kash is going to take me with him, and for himself, it’s a detailed report on why all these documents and evidence were withheld,” Bondi added. “We’ll go through it and we’ll go through it as soon as possible, but there are many casualties, so we’ll go through it very carefully to protect all the victims of Epstein.”
Before the release of “Phase 1,” Bondi told Fox News last Wednesday that DOJ would release “some” “some” by Thursday, hoping that the public would see “many flight logs, lots of names, lots of information.” However, the DOJ and the Trump administration faced pushback online after conservative influencers got a binder labeled “Epstein Files: Phase 1.” Some of those influencers smiled and saw them hold it down outside the West Wing.

Hannity pressed Bondi for additional potential edits of files.
“National security, some big ju ju essay information. This will always be confidential, but we will see. Let’s look at them as soon as possible. Americans have the right to know, so get it to Americans,” Bondy said. “Not only that, but in Kennedy, Martin Luther King, the Biden administration has been sitting in all these cases for the past few years.”
“It’s really – that’s not sad. It’s pissing that these people thought they could sit on this information, but I can’t,” Bondy said. “And when we edit things, Sean, what we’re trying to do isn’t just pulling out the page like they used to. If something was edited, you’ll know the line and you’ll know why it was edited, the victim’s name, the victim’s information.”
Epstein was arrested and charged with sex trafficking in 2019, but was later found dead at the metropolitan corrections center cell in New York, a month after his arrest. Since his death, Republicans, including Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn, have been asking the public to make Epstein’s fully unedited record, including his infamous flight logs.
After the release of Phase 1, Bondi request The FBI distributed the remaining documents to DOJ by 8am on Friday, and a new confirmation was made by FBI Director Kash Patel after investigating “why all document requests failed.”
“We believe in transparency, and America has a right to know. The Biden administration sat in these documents. No one did anything with them. Why were they sitting in the Southern part of New York? I want a full report on that,” Bondy said.
“Sadly, these people don’t believe in transparency, but unfortunately I don’t think many of them believe in integrity,” Bondi added. “It’s a new day. It’s a new administration, and everything will come to the public. The people have a right to know. The Americans have a right to know.”
