Attorney Alan Dershowitz appeared on Newsmax on Wednesday, explaining the historic precedent for invoking the privilege of the nation’s secrets.

I’ll see if state secret laws apply here, what the outcome is. Let me unfold this. The president is pushing the envelope.”
Dershowitz emphasized his point by referring to historical figures.
“Our system is designed to respond to the push of an envelope. Franklin Delano Roosevelt pushed the envelope. Abraham Lincoln pushed the envelope. Thomas Jefferson pushed the envelope.
Dershowitz said the country is not in crisis.
“We’re not there yet. And when we get there, no one believes it because CNN and Democrats are crying wolves about this. They’ve been claiming a constitutional crisis since the day Trump was elected,” Dershowitz added.
