Democratic strategist James Kerrville said Tuesday that he was struggling to refrain from “punching” his computers because he was angry with President Donald Trump’s administration.
Kerrville’s comments on the “situation room” followed comments from Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat who claimed Sunday that Trump was the “an enemy of the United States.” Kerrville said he believes Trump might hate America, citing a vote against the United Nations resolution drafted in Europe to address Russian invasions on Ukraine and tariffs on the Mexican and Canadian presidents. “People are flummoxed, and so are me, because I’ve come to think that Donald Trump hates the United States. Look at Mexico. North America has been an economic power for the past 20 years,” Kerrville said. “I mean, when you look at the economic power of Canada, the US and Mexico, it’s pretty impressive… why is he doing this? Why is he doing this? [Ukrainian President Voldoomyr] Zelenskyy? Why does he know North Korea, Russia and God know, and Belarus in the United Nations? ”
“And I can’t remember that I’d think I’m this guy. That’s a few possibilities and we have to consider the possibility that the president hates our country,” he continued. “People say no, he’s just full of res or something, and that may be true. But it explains why he’s out of the way to hurt the country at any fork he can.”
Host Wolf Blitzer played Rep. Mark Alford, a Republican Missouri Rep.
“Wolf, I’m about to take a deep breath here so I’m going to get out of my chair and not start punching my computer. But as I remember, when he ran, he was going to lower the price of the grocery from day one,” Kerrville said. “And he was going to give relief to American consumers… what are we doing in the next six weeks? Maybe not. And now he said, ‘Well, you may have to pay more, but that’s good for your country.” Has anyone heard that? ”
“Then you have something that should be one of the biggest things. The Agriculture Secretary actually suggested that people grow chickens in their backyards to deal with the price of eggs. So this is where we are,” he continued. “Yes, you have to pay more, but you’ll love it. And if you want to help a little with it, get some chicken and put it in your backyard… I’m no joke.”
Egg prices have almost doubled since November 2023. According to The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis was caused by culling Tens of millions of chickens due to the outbreak of bird flu.
“We’ve seen this with our own eyes. I’m just sitting in this chair. Take a deep breath, say some Hale Mary for strength, and again punch the computer in frustration, and “But this is where we are, man. And we shouldn’t give birth to ourselves.”
