“Field of Dreams” star James Earl Jones has died at age 93 at his home in Dutchess County, New York.
His death was confirmed by a representative for the Independent Artists Group. deadlineThe highly respected actor will always be known as the unmistakable voice of Star Wars villain Darth Vader and for his incredible contributions to the entertainment world. Jones' cause of death has not been reported at this time.

Jones thrilled fans with his decades-long career in Hollywood, but his incredible talent extended far beyond the big screen: Deadline reports that he was also an acclaimed Broadway star, and was just as comfortable on stage as he was on set.
The star is one of Hollywood's top actors and is reportedly an EGOT recipient, having won four awards – an Emmy, Grammy, Academy Award and Tony Award.
Jones is the recipient of two Primetime Emmy Awards, one Daytime Emmy Award, one Grammy Award for Spoken Word, three Tony Awards, and an Honorary Academy Award.

Jones' breakthrough in the Stanley Kubrick classic Dr. Strangelove paved the way for other film roles in 1964.
In addition to his infamous role as the voice of Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, Jones also reprised the role in Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
His talent as a voice actor was also on display when he voiced Mustafa in The Lion King.

The eight-time Emmy-nominated actor appeared on Broadway in “The Djinn Game” in 2017. He last appeared as the voice of Darth Vader in the TV series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
