Jared Hudson discusses his Senate run: ‘I aim to amplify positive change’

Jared Hudson Aims for US Senate Seat in Alabama

Jared Hudson feels he’s the ideal candidate to represent Alabama as its next US Senator, emphasizing that he isn’t your usual politician.

He officially kicked off his campaign in May. Currently residing in Birmingham with his wife and children, Hudson leads the Covenant Rescue Group, which focuses on combating human trafficking.

On Tuesday, during the “Yafie Program” on WVNN, Hudson shared what inspired him to run for office.

“It’s a long story—I’m a Christian and I follow my faith. My wife and I spent some time in prayer,” Hudson said. “Initially, my response was no; I didn’t see myself doing this. But back in March, when Coach Tuberville mentioned he might run for governor, we felt a clear direction from the Lord.”

Hudson emphasized that his campaign isn’t driven by political ambition but by a desire to help the people of Alabama.

“I learned that the US Senate position serves as a multiplier of influence,” he noted. “In Navy SEAL terms, a ‘force multiplier’ is like a machine gun. It can amplify the effectiveness of one SEAL to the power of four.”

He continued, “My aim is to empower my family and represent Alabama and our great nation. We need politicians dedicated to increasing good rather than just self-serving ambitions.”

According to a recent poll on the Senate race, Hudson is currently in third place with 9% of voter support. Marshall leads with 35%, followed by U.S. Rep. Barry Moore at 12%.

Despite being viewed as a long shot, Hudson noted an overwhelmingly positive reaction to his campaign efforts.

“As a small business owner, I have a business-oriented perspective,” he explained. “I grasp the economics of both local and national issues. Having served abroad, I truly understand the weight of sending our youth to war. I’m genuinely grateful for the experience.”

Recently, Hudson has garnered attention, including endorsements from conservative activist Riley Gaines, a former swimmer.

He added, “We’re used to seeing career politicians climb the ladder for their next step. But for me, it’s about service. I want to serve Alabama and address our state’s challenges in Washington, D.C.”
