JA’RON SMITH: Trump Should Apply His Magic To America’s Broken Tax System

In just three weeks of his second term, President Donald Trump is pushing his all with his agenda.

He has already received an order to bring wholesale transformation to the government and has already been delivered. This includes ensuring that the federal government creates efficiency in a slower bureaucracy system, serving people rather than systems.

And one area where we desperately need this improvement is taxation! The system that has been burdened by working Americans can be completely transformed and instead work for working families.

Whether it is “no tax on hints” The pioneer of policy With President Trump or $5,000 child tax credit suggestion By Senator Vance, the Trump Vance administration ensures that tax laws work for the working families. (Related: Congressman Buddy Carter: It’s America’s new day. Let’s tax it like that.)

An important part of this is expanding based on successful jobs in the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts (Tax Credits and Employment Act). There are many aspects to this innovation, but two things we want to focus on are tax simplification and service rejuvenation.

We need to innovate through tax simplification. That way, our tax laws work for all Americans, rejuvenating government agencies and putting Americans rather than bureaucracy first.

Innovation was at the heart of the TCJA, including expanding the standard deduction and doubling the child tax credit to $2,000. This allowed more American families to submit simpler revenues and hold more of their hard-earned money. We need to build on this innovation and the success of TCJA.

To make this a success, first, innovation should include further tax simplification, including working families. According to Recent polls75% of all Americans believe that the next president and Congress should “priority more than extending existing tax cuts by further simplifying taxes for Americans.” Simplifying taxes is also an issue that both parties agree to. 84% of Republicans and 80% of Democrats agreed to the above statement. This is a key moment to strengthen American working families, including a stronger child tax credit.

Simplifying taxes also includes making it easier and less time to file taxes and address tax issues. In the same poll, 71% of Americans (including 73% of Republicans and 78% of Democrats) wanted a “simple, free way to file taxes directly with the IRS.” You don’t need to be a “tax expert” to know that it should be easier for American families to file their taxes than sending American jobs abroad!

American families don’t have to deal with tax forms or pay hundreds of dollars or both each year. Simplifying taxes saves Americans money as well as Americans’ time. And we all can spend more time in today’s pressured world.

Simplifying taxes is especially important for working families eligible for tax credits. The government should provide a simple and easy way to understand the eligibility of these credits. This requires that you qualify for these credits and include in plain English the technology and tools that will help families understand how to charge at work. Again, this is supported by the majority of Americans, with 71% finding proposals (including 74% of Republicans and 75% of Democrats) that would help them with such proposals. It’s there.

This brings us to the second pillar of innovation: rejuvenation of government agencies. Often our current government is ignoring Part 3 of Lincoln’s famous phrase in Gettysburg: Government for the People.

We should consider how all government agencies, especially those that directly deal with citizens chasing “customers,” provide high quality services. This would highlight the Framer Roadster. Their belief is that a good government is a government that serves its citizens, and not the other way around, but a reminder that Americans are citizens who are not citizens.

The government can learn a lot from the business here. High quality customer service is a must. It is important to remember that government inefficiencies are taxes on time. We need to think about ways to reimagin government services to ensure government services are delivered cheaper and save taxpayers money, but it’s easier to save taxpayers’ time It will be delivered. That’s why Doge’s work is so important.

To be clear, much of this becomes a priority. It’s not a question of more funds. It’s a government issue that actually uses existing taxpayer dollars to help and serve taxpayers. For example, increasing support by providing less enforcement, spending on customer service, less audits of low-income taxpayers, and providing simpler, free tools and technology for filing. That means.

First, we need a government that places citizens rather than bureaucrats. This is because the government that places Americans first is the government that puts America first.

Ja’ron Smith was the highest and longest African American advisor in the first Trump administration and played many roles. Most recently, he served as the president’s assistant for domestic policy and as deputy director of the White House Office of America Innovation.
