Jasmine Crockett Responds to Criticism on Rhetoric — By Attacking Kirk and Comparing Trump to Hitler

Texas Democrats React to Controversial Comments

Texas Democrats expressed their outrage after CNN anchor Dana Bash aired a clip featuring Rep. Jasmine Crockett referring to President Donald Trump as “the enemy of the United States” and likening him to Hitler.

Despite Trump’s history with two assassination attempts, Crockett had previously labeled him an “aspiring Hitler” during a July interview on MSNBC. When Bash asked Crockett if there was a need to temper such rhetoric, she maintained that the president was employing tactics reminiscent of Hitler’s “playbook.”

“My responsibility is clear,” Crockett said. “Honestly, I feel we live in a time where this administration is not focused on helping people grasp history. It’s essential to understand why there are so many issues.”

She asserted that her choice of words was deliberate, explaining, “It’s accurate language. Trump’s actions reflect Hitler’s tactics, and I stand by that. These are facts.”

Crockett also criticized Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, who had previously claimed he was “specially called for violence.” She argued, “I know Charlie Kirk made comments about who should live and who should die. I’ve never said anything of the sort,” although she provided no supporting evidence.

For over two minutes, Crockett continued to voice her opinions without interruption from Bash. Following Kirk’s assassination on September 10, Crockett reiterated her stance in an interview, reinforcing her comparison of Trump to “aspiring Hitler.”

“I don’t agree with you, but I call you an aspiring Hitler. It doesn’t mean I’m advocating for harm,” Crockett explained. “When you encourage violence at gatherings, like saying, ‘Yeah, beat him,’ that’s concerning.”

Moreover, in May, Crockett claimed that Republicans inherently promoted violence while dismissing the threat from left-wing extremists. She argued, “Your group is violent, and much of that violence seems to target those with melanin. They label others as a violent group as if that’s some sort of truth.”

Authorities uncovered anti-fascist messages linked to a rifle recovered near Kirk’s assassination, according to Republican Utah Governor Spencer Cox on September 12.
