Jeanine Pirro Reveals Arrest of Suspect Who Threatened Trump

Suspect Arrested for Threatening President Trump

On Monday, Janine Piro, a lawyer in Washington, DC, announced the arrest of a female suspect charged with threatening to kill President Donald Trump.

Law enforcement detained Rose Jones, who allegedly made explicit threats against the president. Piro reported on X that Jones had traveled from New York to Washington, expressing demands for the president’s removal. Once in DC, her threats continued on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, where she referred to Trump as a terrorist and called for his elimination. Piro emphasized that the suspect would face the full extent of the law.

Piro added that threatening a president’s life is a serious crime, and the response from law enforcement is swift and firm. She expressed gratitude for the dedicated efforts of law enforcement partners.

On August 11, President Trump mobilized the National Guard to address violent crime in the capital, which has been a growing concern. Recent announcements noted that 137 individuals were arrested over a weekend, with 21 illegal firearms seized, alongside ongoing investigations into serious crimes like murder and drug trafficking.

Violent crime cases have been particularly troubling in Washington this year, highlighted by the death of a 21-year-old intern and assaults involving embassy staff. The government’s response has been more proactive following several violent incidents, including attempts on Trump’s life in July and September of 2024, where gunfire and an assassination attempt were reported.
